The NDP will save you money with Pharmacare for all

Pharmacare for all will save families more than $500 a year – whether they have insurance or not – and make sure every Canadian can fill their prescription with no cost and no worry. Add your name:

Across Canada, people are having to make impossible choices every day – cutting pills in half, choosing between paying rent on time or filling their prescription, or going without the drugs they need altogether.

The Conservatives spent a decade making the problem worse. And all Justin Trudeau is proposing is more of the same patchwork coverage we have now – that will let big pharmaceutical and insurance companies keep charging Canadians some of the highest drug prices in the world.

This two-tier, US-style system might work for their wealthy corporate friends, but it will mean much higher costs for families and small businesses, and too many people who are still left out.

One in five Canadians has no drug coverage at all – and even those that do still can’t afford to make ends meet. And nearly 2 million Canadians didn’t fill a prescription last year because they couldn’t afford it.

Canadians deserve leaders with the courage to stand up to big pharmaceutical and insurance companies, and fight for a solution that will make life better for everyday people.

Our pharmacare for all plan will save families more than $500 a year, and save $4.2 billion in prescription costs across Canada. Add your name to support our plan for Pharmacare for all.
